Green River Rifle Works, Leman Trade Rifle, .54 cal. SN: 625; Hard maple stock; blued metal work, hickory ram rod in thimbles, bore nearly 10/10, but rifle overall, about 85% condition. Original leaf spring lock replaced with coil spring lock and set trigger by Tom Faux of Brighton, CO. Barrel approximately 1/66 twist for round patched 530-grain ball, but it shoots .54 maxi very well. Barrel shortened 1” by Tom Faux; made by Green River Rifle Works, Roosevelt, UT, in about 1974. Antique period correct, buckhorn rear sight adjustable for elevation and windage, partially covers roll stamp of “Green River Rifle Works, Roosevelt, Utah”. A simple, rugged, accurate, and powerful muzzle-loading rifle, suitable for matches or big game hunting. Local collector selling duplicates from the collection.
